Understory Equitable Access Fund
Cost is a significant barrier to the access of safe and legal Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy.
The Understory Equitable Access Fund supports Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy treatment for low-income and equity-denied groups.

What is the Understory Equitable Access Fund?
Despite Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (PAT) being a promising mental health treatment, it’s not yet covered by MSP. This makes it harder for low-income and equity-denied groups to access PAT.
Through the Equitable Access Fund, Understory provides discounted and subsidized treatment for those who are eligible.
Contributors to the Equitable Access Fund are helping to build a community dedicated to addressing the barriers that prevent many people from benefiting from psychedelic-assisted treatment.

Financial Assistance Eligibility
Eligibility to access funding is based on after-tax household income (total net income by all members of the household over 12 months) falling at or below the low-income thresholds determined annually.
Thresholds are relative to household size and are based on Statistics Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO). To adjust for significant increases in the cost of living and to provide greater access to our community, Understory has increased eligibility thresholds by 50%. Follow the link below to review current thresholds.
